Europe’s Football 20/21 – Winter Transfers Market Predictions

football deal

Transfer season is upon us in Europe as football teams will have the opportunity to make additions and changes to their football squad throughout January as each respective top competition in the continent reaches the halfway stage.

Although the January transfer window can be a little difficult for some football clubs to do business as teams do not want to lose their top football stars, there is no shortage of transfer rumours to have started to appear.

Who could be on the move then in the coming weeks?

Premier League – English Football League Winter Transfer Market

One of the richest leagues in the world of football, the Premier League is likely going to see some activity as clubs at the top and bottom of the division will look to try and make additions to their football squad as they look to challenge for the title, European qualification or survival.

Chelsea football club are one such team already being linked with transfer rumours despite having already made a number of acquisitions in the previous transfer rumour. A transfer for the football player Thiago Silva is already being touted, as the Brazilian only has a few miles left in the tank as he gets older. A rumour surrounding Cagliari’s football player Sebastian Walukiewicz has started to do the rounds after a number of impressive performances. However, he could set the Blues back a huge transfer fee.

The player Paul Pogba has been in the football market headlines once again in Englands as the player’s agent, Mino Raiola, has claimed the Manchester United midfielder needs to leave. The France international has rubbished those suggestions, whilst the Red Devils seem happy enough to keep him. However, with his contract expiring in 18 months, they might have to let him go this January if they are to get a transfer fee of value for him.

Another transfer rumour emerging from the Premier League surrounds the football player Dele Alli. The Tottenham Hotspur midfielder’s career at Spurs has stalled under Jose Mourinho coaching and it is believed he is free to leave. PSG are said to be interested and they could look to revive their interest this winter after being linked with transfer rumours throughout the summer.

Bundesliga – German Football League Transfer Rumours

RB Leipzig football team appear to have won the race to sign the player Dominik Szobozlai this January. The 20-year-old is highly regarded by many across Europe and the latest transfer rumours surrounding him suggest that he favours a move to the Bundesliga club, rather than potentially joining Arsenal instead.

Manchester City and Manchester United football teams are both said to be interested in Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Braut Haaland this January. The forward has been a superstar for the BVB since making the switch to the SIgnal Iduna Park club and has continued to see his profile continually rise, thus further enhancing the transfer rumours surrounding him. However, it would be a surprise to see him move in January and a move is unlikely as Dortmund’s team  would find it hard to replace the goals he scores.

La Liga – Spanish Football League Player Market

Football Club Barcelona have allegedly been keen on signing the player Eric Garcia from Manchester City for a while and January could be the perfect time for them to try and finally capture his signature. The defender is coming to the end of his contract and is desperate to return to the La Liga giants and has already refused to sign a new contract and remain under Pep Guardiola’s  coaching. This should be a deal that will happen, therefore expect this transfer rumour to come true.

Real Madrid football team could see changes this January as one of the latest transfer rumours involves misfit player Isco. Zinedine Zidane is said to want him gone, but moving him on depends on if there is any interest in the playmaker.

Serie A – Italian Football League Market Movements

Juventus, AC Milan, Inter Milan, SSC Napoli and AS Roma football teams could all be involved in a tussle for one of Serie A’s most wanted football players. Verona’s Matteo Lovato has only played a small number of matches however he has impressed the biggest clubs in Italy already, which could make it difficult for this rumour not to become true.
